Due to his professionalism and dedication to the agency, he has been awarded Deputy of the Quarter on three separate occasions. Master Deputy Booker, we thank you for your dedicated service to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Booker is a certified Chaplain, currently serving in the Classifications Unit. He has applied his prior Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles experience to the agency since 2004.
Deputy Booker has performed multiple weddings for staff members, conducted funeral services for past staff members and their family members, and coordinated invocations for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he has furthered his training by becoming a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer and served in the Community Outreach Section.
He stated, “I would not be the deputy that I am without the staff members that I’ve worked with over the years and currently. I believe in every single one of them and pray for the agency and staff daily,” and added Luke 1:37, "For nothing is impossible with God."
