Thank you for 30 years of guidance, camaraderie, and unwavering devotion to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Heard has applied his Field Training expertise to the Sheriff’s Office Jail Operations Division since 2004. He has excelled in maintaining order, safety, and security in the Sheriff’s Office Special Management Units, to include the Veterans Unit, or “The Barracks.”
At the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Heard is known for sharing wisdom and knowledgeable advice with those he encounters. He states, “We are a team; we cannot do this job without each other.” Deputy Heard plans to spend his upcoming retirement with his wife, Sylvia, and return to teaching.
