WANTED CRIMINAL STREET GANG MEMBER APPREHENDED

(Gwinnett County, Ga., June 6, 2024) – Investigators with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit apprehended a suspect wanted in connection with four outstanding felony warrants. On June 3, the Fugitive investigators were assigned to locate Alexis Coria, a known member of the Surenos Gang. Coria was wanted by the Gwinnett County Police Department for charges including Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and two counts of Aggravated Assault. In collaboration with GCPD detectives, substantial information was gathered, and extensive surveillance was conducted by Fugitive investigators. On June 5, Coria was identified leaving an address in Dunwoody, Georgia, and entering the passenger side of a Honda Accord. Fugitive investigators continued to monitor Coria until he arrived in Acworth, Georgia. Fugitive investigators alerted the Acworth Police Department, and a felony stop was conducted on the vehicle. Coria was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.
