The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office participated in Operation Watchful Eye VIII alongside 73 other Georgia Sheriffs this month. This operation led to the arrest of 44 sex offenders and the issuance of 234 warrants across the state. The GCSO Field Operations Division conducted 353 verification attempts and completed 127 residence verifications between October 30th and November 6th. The Georgia Sheriffs' Association emphasizes that the Office of the Sheriff is mandated by law to register sex offenders and ensure compliance with all verification requirements.
